Cost of the project - $676,200, completed work as a general contractor

The scope of work included the removal of the existing bridge and replacing with a precast deck (concrete slabs). Prior to the removal of the deck, the bridge required the installation of concrete caissons and pile caps to replace the existing abutments on each end. The entire project was completed in four consecutive weekends while permitting traffic on the roadway on Monday morning each week. The project was nominated by MdSHA for an MdQI Excellence Award in the category of “Structure – New Rehabilitation, under $5M”.
